The Silver Lining Space Cadet sold drugs
His sales were interrupted by nasty thugs
A Chinese gang gave him broken bones
Under garbage in grease left to his moans
He made the long crawl to the ice minaret
The mosques mandala with blood he wet
Priest gave him a mug of wood turtle soup
Sent him to the hospital to recoup
There he learned to use a slide rule
His sanguine self saw that as cool
So back to college then he went
His old life of drugs he did repent

5. Dragons dislike foods that are cooked in grease and Greasy Spoon restaurants get no sales from them..
6. Chinese dragons are often born without wings but with the ability to think themselves where they want to go.
7. Our great dragon Imastein invented the slide rule.
8. Broken bones in a dragon heal faster than in humans.
9. Dragons help rid the world of garbage by eating it. It fuels their flame.
10. There is no more sanguine creature in existence than a dragon.
Now you can astound your friends by dropping these into your everyday conversation.

  1. Absolutely entranced by the dragon facts! I think the shape shifting astronaut was Gus Grissom, but I know dragons will not reveal those types of things...sigh

And if dragons are helping us rid ourselves of the garbage, can they start on politicians...please?

  2. I enjoyed the poem - most edifying. I'll certainly store up those facts, never know when I might want to impress.

  3. Very nice poem and I'm glad that he did repent for selling drugs :) Great lesson learned. It's always wonderful to learn new facts about you dragons. Boy you could be full of flames and hot air with all the worlds garbage. Happy eating. Have a wonderful weekend ;)

  4. Happy New Year, Dragons! Good poem this week. Always like tales of redemption. Loved the dragon facts. Very interesting about Chinese Dragons. Wish I could do that.

  5. Your pieces are always so intricate. I love the useless dragon facts as well.
