Not Together

With a nod to Raven and Quilly
( This week's Raven's words were really less than wonderful -22 words)

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.
Every week a nice lady named Raven gives us fifteen words and phrases to use in a story. Here we try to use those words and phrases in a flash 55.This week's words are: blind panic, apartment, fleas, soap operas, cajun cooking, free and easy, legal, sangria, public school, new, class, calendar, keeping secrets, boring, fashion

We dragons couldn't get together on these words and ended up with two 55's

Bad Cook Sally
Sally Sangria whose cajun cooking was first class was in a blind panic in her new apartment. She had been free and easy , not good at keeping secrets and now the legal department of the public school was after her like in soap operas. Her otherwise boring calendar listed fleas of fashion as a meal.

Life in the Soap
Of all the boring soap operas, she watched, "Public School Sangria" was the one with fashion. Now the new Superintendent was in a blind panic over fleas, in the apartment of the cook that did the free and easy cajun cooking and kept the class calendar. Legal warned him that keeping secrets could be dangerous.

And Now for something completely different.
First there is poetry- written well by a few experts.
Then there is poetic drivel- written by many
Then below them all is quivel.
This is a flash 55 quivel.
Something that looks like a poem, uses at least three of Quilly’s words and has five words to a line for eleven lines. Click on the special words for definitions. Please, again, note this is a quivel it does not pretend to be a poem or even poetic drivel.

A Tadpole?
They called him a tadpole
Was he just her goal?
Viliorated was that his fate?
Then to be shown the gate?
But acquiesce to her demands
Traboccant fate in his hands
Mellifluous his time with her
Love feelings began to stir
Hitonious it all played out
Was there ever any doubt?
With her he was without.

  11. Sounds like Bad Cook Sally & the Principal could use a little soft soap. As to your poetry, it is perhaps better not mentioned.

  13. A word to Quilly- Dragons don't do poetry except on Saturday. In your honor we do quivel.
It is not poetry. It never has been poetry. It doesn't want to be poetry. It wants to be quivel. What looks like a bad poem is therefore very good quivel.
