Flash 55 - The Portrait

With a nod to Raven and Quilly
( This week's Raven's words were less than wonderful -22 words)
Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.
Every week a nice lady named Raven gives us fifteen words and phrases to use in a story. Here we try to use those words and phrases in a flash 55.This week's words are: reluctant, sacrilege, territory, humiliating, master of ceremonies, gesture, dirty deed, crumbling, thaw, token, official portrait, personal bank account, shoulder bone, unbearable, widow

The Official Portrait

Dirty Deed Thaw Sacrilege, master of ceremonies and territory Governor, posed for the official portrait despite the unbearable pain in his shoulder bone. The rich widow who contributed much to his personal bank account had demanded this humiliating token gesture. As reluctant as he was his kingdom was crumbling and he really needed her help.

And Now for something completely different.
First there is poetry- written well by a few experts.
Then there is poetic drivel- written by many
Then below them all is quivel.
This is a flash 55 quivel.
Something that looks like a poem, uses at least three of Quilly’s words and has five words to a line for eleven lines. Click on the special words for definitions. Please, again, note this is a quivel it does not pretend to be a poem or even poetic drivel.
Self Centered

The Why? rogitated inside him
Leaving thoughts so very grim.
Solipsistic all his life he
No answer could he see
Nequient to look at facts
Not fitting his mental tracks
Murklins his life was spent
Living in his little tent
Risible his life would be
But for you and me
But this he can’t see
