Flash 55

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.
With a nod to Raven and Quilly
( This week's Raven's words were as bad as they get , we hope, 26 words)
They are: sugar, mortgage, logical, roller skates, outlandish, Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus, cumberbund, unexpected, photo album, scarecrow, tomatoes, turtles, basement apartment, circumference, make my day

The Old Album

In the "Logical Circumference" photo album was an unexpected, outlandish picture of a scarecrow in a cummerbund on roller skates in a basement apartment with turtles in one hand and tomatoes in the other saying "make my day".
Next to the photo of Sugar paying the mortgage captioned " Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.

Yelve- 1. (obsolete) A fork used to carry dung; such a fork used as a garden tool.
patration - -(n) perfection or completion of something
Aeipathy- 1. A continued passion; an unyielding disease.

#################################

And Now for something completely different. And we mean completely different.
First there is poetry- written well by a few experts. You know it when you see it.

Then there is poetic drivel- written by many. Lots of fun and often punny.

Then below them all is quivel.
The following is quivel.
It in no way even pretends to be poetry or drivel.
Instead it is something that looks like a poem, uses at least three of Quilly’s words.
In this case it is also a flash 55 quivel since it has eleven lines with exactly five words to a line. Please, again, note this is a quivel it does not pretend to be a poem or even poetic drivel.

Dog Poop

Dog poop fills the yard
Need to be on guard
Yelve to pick it up
Following after the little pup
Aeipathy could be the result
To the body an insult
When the poop is gone
We can walk on lawn
So bring us to patration
With a fully positive assertion
Leading to a massive celebration.

the one about the album is actually very touching, the fun of the scarecrow and the blessing of being able to pay the mortgage. nicely done 55s on both counts!
