Flash 55

With a nod to Raven and Quilly
( This week's Raven's words were even worse than usual )

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

Every week a nice lady named Raven gives us fifteen words and phrases to use in a story. Here we try to use those words and phrases in a flash 55.This week's words are :nausea, everything is on sale, expect great things, frying pan, pledge, birds of a feather, stick, Saturday morning, liver and bacon, caterpillars, aggravation, protective, bargain basement, take me out to the ballgame, break a leg

Birds of a feather pledged to expect things since everything is on sale but on Saturday morning the smell of liver and bacon in the frying pan caused nausea and aggravation to the protective bargain basement guard of stick Caterpillars as he sang take me out to the ballgame in real break a leg style.

And Now for something completely different. A flash 55 quivel. Something that looks like a poem, uses at least three of Quilly’s words and has five words to a line for eleven lines. Click on the special words for definitions.
The Prophet
The opsimath studied only history
Her choice a real mystery
But her claim to fame
With assiduity she did proclaim
obarmate that which is past
Or we just won’t last”
Isangelous she always did seem
Light from her did beam
the hitonious mob insulted her
They caused quite a stir
She was right I’m sure.

  1. You dragons never cease to amaze me. You use the great big Quilly words with skill and style, yet cannot tell the difference between quite and quiet. [shakes head] I suppose you are going to claim it's a typo. I know I would.

  5. Very well done as usual Fandango. See there again Quilly and typos this time. Can ya give her just a little nibble perhaps? And I know why Nessa can understand all this. She's got fish swimming in ponds talking to spoiled little girls. Well done Fandango...well done...please just one nibble?
